Drying process features: is a process between firing and glazing. Glazing and sintering can only be carried out after the body is completely dry, otherwise the glaze surface is prone to cracking or peeling. The drying of the body is usually done by placing it in a cool and ventilated place to air dry naturally, which usually takes 7 days to ensure even dryness and wetness. Glazing Process Features:glazing is a key step in the terracotta pot making process, where glaze is a thin layer of colorless or colored glass covering the surface of the pottery jar product. terracotta jar glaze is made by grinding mineral raw materials (kaolin) into glaze slurry, applying it to the surface of the damaged body through an automatic oil spraying machine, and then calcining it at a certain temperature.
This glaze can enhance the organic strength, thermal stability, and dielectric strength of pottery jars. At the same time, it has aesthetic value, is easy to clean, and is not easily eroded by dust.
